John Bednarik and his wife, Leslie Woods, of Montville, have had their handmade plywood signs supporting the Obama-Biden ticket both destroyed and stolen. Bednarik said that several times during the last month, his signs have been torn down and pilfered. The first time, he said, a pro-Obama sign constructed of thick plastic was hanging in a tree at his lawn's edge. One morning, Bednarik found the sign "ripped right down the middle." He repaired it by using a spray-on adhesive to mount the pieces to a piece of plywood.
